Doubleheader is a free, read-only tracker for live scores and your fantasy team. It is run by William Gillis in Montréal, Québec, Canada. This page explains, in plain terms, what the app (the website at doubleheader.fans and the iOS app) collects and what it does with it.

The short version

  • You can use scores, standings and fantasy without an account.
  • If you create an account, we store your email, how you sign in, your favourite teams, and the fantasy usernames and leagues you link.
  • We don't sell your data, we don't show ads, and we don't use third-party analytics or tracking.
  • You can delete your account and its data at any time.

What we collect

Without an account

Your favourite teams, selected sport, and the Sleeper username and leagues you add are saved on your own device (browser storage or the app's local storage). They are not sent to our database.

With an account

  • Account email and an optional display name.
  • Sign-in provider information: whether you signed in with email and password, Google, or Apple, and the basic details that provider shares to sign you in (your email address and an account identifier). With Apple you can choose to hide your email; we then only see Apple's relay address. We never see your Google or Apple password.
  • Favourite teams for each sport.
  • Linked fantasy accounts: your Sleeper username, user id and display name, and the leagues you choose to follow.

This is stored in our database, hosted by Supabase. Row-level security means each account can only read and change its own rows. Passwords are handled by Supabase Auth and stored hashed; we never see them.

Technical data

Like any website, our hosting provider (Vercel) and database provider (Supabase) process standard request data, such as your IP address, browser type and request times, to serve the app, keep it secure, and limit abuse (for example, too many sign-in attempts from one address). We don't use this to profile you. Sign-in uses essential cookies only; there are no advertising or analytics cookies.

Where the sports data comes from

Scores, schedules, standings and stats come from public sports data feeds (such as ESPN's). Fantasy matchups come from Sleeper's public API, looked up by the username you enter. These requests are made by our servers, not your device, so those services don't receive your account details. Doubleheader only reads this data; it never changes anything in your fantasy leagues.

How we use it

  • To show your teams, scores and fantasy matchups, and keep them in sync across your devices.
  • To sign you in, keep your account secure, and send account emails you ask for (such as a password reset).
  • To keep the service running and protect it from abuse.

That's it. No selling or renting of personal information, no advertising (there are no ads at the moment), and no sharing except with the service providers above, who process it on our behalf to run the app, or where the law requires it.

Keeping and deleting your data

Your account data is kept until you delete it. You can delete your account yourself from the Account page, or email doubleheaderapp@gmail.com and we'll delete it for you. Deleting your account removes your email, sign-in details, favourites and linked fantasy accounts from our database. Data saved only on your device stays there until you clear it or remove the app.

Your rights

Under Canadian and Québec privacy law (including PIPEDA and Québec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector), you can ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, and ask questions about how it is handled: write to doubleheaderapp@gmail.com. William Gillis is responsible for the protection of personal information at Doubleheader. Our providers may store data outside Québec and Canada (for example in the United States); those providers protect it with their own security measures.

Children

Doubleheader isn't aimed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and its effective date above.
